Course Description:

Business Management and Ownership 3-4 (Student Store) is an Academy elective offered to Academy 11th and 12th graders. It is an advanced course in the business and finance industry pathway sequence of courses. It provides training in small-business management and it is part of the Regional Occupational Program (ROP).  In this practical course, students get first-hand practice in running a real small business: the Clairemont High Student Store. Students learn about and put into practice all aspects of running functioning business. Students become the managers, accountants, and employees and thus learn about management, marketing, inventory, cash flow, cash-handling, register operations, accounting, customer service, and more. This course is currently taught by Mr. Alan Walter

Important Notes:
  • Students must complete Business Management and Ownership (BMO) 1-2 or be simultaneously enrolled in BMO 1-2 as a prerequisite for this course.
